Fully Featured Release - still a FREE unlimited version!
Are you a diabetic? Do you need to track the glucose readings, food intake, and medicine records of a diabetic? Then this is the app for you.
As a Type-1 diabetic, I've spent my life having to track all of this information on a daily basis, and I've spend many years looking for the perfect application to record it all. And finally, I've had a chance to write one.
This early version of the application has most of the basic features, but I plan to implement more exciting features beyond the "basic needs" as time goes on. This is where I need feedback from other users.
- Export of records (CSV over e-mail)
- User-selectable span of records to view
- Recording for Glucose, Medicine, and Food
- Editing of medication types and/or record classifications
As an early release, I'm offering this application for free, to get quality constructive feedback from folks to help guide development. I expect to charge a modest sum when I'm confident the application has reached a sufficient level of quality.
Great thanks to the reviews and support I have recieved so far. The app is nearly complete now, in my opinion, but still basic. Soon it will be even better!
What's New in Version 0.97.5
- Incorrect Glucose value caused erroneous display and/or crash. Fixed.

Update delete all entry
I used this App to track my glucose level for a month. However when I update the App on 9/23, all the data were deleted without any warrning. I wish I could give the author a better score but this bug is too faital.
Great for Free App- some suggestions
I believe the ability to line graph the glucose readings- over various time periods- would be quite helpful in analyzing the data. Should be able to do subsets- that is, instead of graphing all glucose readings, could just graph your "before breakfast" (I have to use "breakfast" as there is no "before breakfast" category; actually "fasting" reading designation might be most accurate) so you will not be comparing "apples" to "oranges". As for other category designations, I would like "before exercise" and "after exercise" added as well as the aforementioned "before breakfast."
Graphing capability by itself would be a great addition. A real bonus would be some type of color or other coding to distinguish between "in range" and "out of range." For example, for type 2 diabetics, it seems that the usual goal is to be below 130 for your before breakfast or fasting readings. A line across the graph showing that point- and thus indicating the over and below readings- would be visually helpful. Or perhaps a bar graph with the bars colored differently to distinguish between within or outside goal reading.
I think the ability to average your readings- again over various time periods- within a particular category would also be helpful.
For what it's worth, while I use Diabetes Log to record all my glucose readings, I also use Fitview to record the before breakfast readings because that program has a graphing capability. Unfortunately, it does not have a way to distinguish between different glucose readings, so I only record the before breakfast readings to avoid the apples/oranges comparison. Annoyingly, Fitview makes you always have a A1c reading on the graph as well as the glucose reading; this is nonsensical as most folks only check their A1c every three months or so as a lab test.
I appreciate your efforts and hope these suggestions are helpful. Implementing these suggestions I think would justify a fee for this program.
Good app, great potential

This app is a good start, but it has some serious potential behind it. Some good things to think about would be adding chart/spreadsheet views, exporting options, and average BS numbers. Add features like that, and log books may be a thing of the past. Thanks!
